Our Aerosol Refractory Paints

Y Aerosol (Yttrium Oxide)
The Yttrium Oxide (Yttria) aerosol-can provides the great properties of Y2O3 in an easy-to-use manner – yielding low electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity; providing superior high-temperature stability with molten metals, glasses, slags, and salts; producing inert barriers for reactions, diffusion bonding, brazing etc.

Z Aerosol (Zirconium Oxide)
The Zirconium Oxide (Zirconia) aerosol-can provides the great properties of Calcia-Stabilized Zirconia (ZrO2) in an easy-to-use manner – yielding moderately-low electrical conductivity and very-low thermal conductivity; providing good high-temperature stability with molten metals, glasses, slags, and salts; producing an inert barrier for reactions.

A Aerosol (Aluminum Oxide)
The Aluminum Oxide (Alumina) aerosol-can provides the great properties of Al2O3 in an easy-to-use/test manner – yielding low electrical conductivity and moderately-high thermal conductivity; providing good refractoriness and resistance to molten metals.

BN Aerosol Lubricoat (Boron Nitride)
The Boron Nitride aerosol-can allows the creation of a dry-film-lubricant and provides the great properties of BN in an easy-to-use/test manner, yielding low electrical conduction and high thermal conduction (like stainless); preventing reactions/interactions between materials; providing superior release/nonwetting.

These aerosols are useful for many high-temperature studies as well as providing barrier layers between dissimilar materials to prevent reaction/interactions.
All of our aerosol products are also offered as “Aerosol Brushable,” which is a bulk paint form for scaling up any usage that require a solvent-based paint.
