Cera Glue AA
Description

Cera Glue AA is a fiber-free, ready-to-use, water-based, high-temperature-use (up to nearly 1500 C [2732 F]) bonding glue for Alumina-to-Alumina or for bonding high-Alumina content ceramics to one another.  Cera Glue bonds parts together dramatically, creating a strong adhesive connection of the pieces.  Also this glue can be used with dense or porous surfaces: just apply two coats to both faces to be bonded, drying between each coating at room temperature or at 60 C, followed by heating up to at least 1500 C in any atmosphere for around ½-2 hours.  NOTE that this product DOES NOT contain Boron Nitride.

Key Attributes
  • Specifically designed for Alumina-to-Alumina or for high-Alumina parts
  • Usable to nearly 1500 C, higher than other bonding agents
  • Glue is highly stable/unreactive with many materials – even molten ones
  • Provides very strong joining of parts
  • YAG (YAG, 3Y2O3*5Al2O3) based, phosphate-refractory bonded
  • Contains no RCF (Refractory Ceramic Fiber)
  • Water-based – easy cleaning and diluting if needed
Ideal Use
  • Bonding parts
  • Glue-repair of broken or chipped ceramic/refractory parts
  • Hermetically sealing tubes and bonded parts
  • Creating large complex parts from separately sintered components

Cera Glue Sealcoat
Description

Cera Glue – Sealcoat is a water-based coating that can glue ceramic pieces as well as forming a vitreous impervious seal on most ceramics that withstands thermal cycling.  This product requires a one-time bake-on at 800-850 C for ½ to 1 hour for use up to nearly 800 C (1472 F).

Key Attributes
  • Bonds ceramics
  • Vitreous layer of non-silica ‘glaze’
  • Applied like house paint
  • Safe, water-based
Ideal Use
  • Gluing ceramic pieces and boards
  • Sealing ceramic surfaces from gaseous

Cera Glue GG
Description

Cera Glue GG is a fiber-free, ready-to-use, water-based, bonding glue for Graphite-to-Graphite or for bonding Silicon Carbide  ceramics to one another.  Cera Glue GG bonds parts together dramatically, creating a strong adhesive connection of the pieces.   Apply  glue to both faces to be bonded and place them together while still wet; then dry the pieces thoroughly at room temperature (i.e., overnight) and/or at 60 C.  To achieve the bond, Cera Glue GG requires a one-time bake-on at >= 800 C (>= 1472 F) for ½ hour.

Key Attributes
  • Specifically designed for Graphite-to-Graphite or for SiC-SiC
  • Usable to nearly 1000 C in air
  • Protects Graphite from oxidation
  • High Emissivity
  • Withstands cyclic use
  • Contains no RCF (Refractory Ceramic Fiber)
  • Water-based – easy cleanup
Ideal Use
  • Bonding parts that would be difficult to make as monolithic
  • Glue-repair of broken or chipped Graphite or SiC parts
  • Sealing surfaces, fissures, gaps

Cera Glue Bondcoat
Description

Cera Glue BondCoat is a water-based paste that can glue/bond high-temperature ceramics, such as high-density Zirconium Dioxide and Silicon Carbide, as well as Boron Nitride. This product requires a one-time bake-on/bonding heat treatment at 1300-1500 C for 1/2 to 1 hour in an atmosphere compatible with the material being bonded (i.e., air, nitrogen, argon, etc.).

Key Attributes
  • Bonds dense refractory ceramic of ZrO2, SiC, BN
  • Bonded material can be used at temperatures up to the bonding heat-treatment temperature
  • The bond/glue is stable with many materials and provides very strong joining of parts
  • Applies smoothly and spreads easily
  •  Safe, water-based
Ideal Use
  • Gluing dense refractory ceramic pieces
  • Joining parts, such as 3D printed pieces, into complex structures
  • Sealing ‘gaps’ and fissures
