BORON NITRIDE COATINGS
BN Hardcoat®
BORON NITRIDE HARDCOAT® is the original abrasion-resistant boron nitride coating. BN-HARDCOAT®, which is applied exactly like house paint, provides a surface that acts like Teflon® in that molten aluminum, magnesium and their drosses will not react nor adhere. Ideal for high-wear uses where all other boron nitride coatings fail.
More Info
$174.00 /gallon
BN Lubricoat®
BORON NITRIDE LUBRICOAT® is a proven lubricant and release agent for high-temperature use where graphite and similar products fail. Boron Nitride Lubricoat® is ideal for superplastic forming, forging and extrusion operations as well as for providing a non-stick coating for the glass and non-ferrous melting/casting industries.
More Info
$174.00 /gallon
BN Lubricoat® ZV
Relatively hard, highly dilutable coating provides
non-wetting with molten non-ferrous metals.
More Info
$204.00 /gallon
BN Releasecoat®
A high quality white pre-diluted BN
formulation primarily used with permanent mold castings.
When applied in low draft, high drag regions over the normally
used insulating mold coatings (BN RELEASECOAT® is compatible with all), BN RELEASECOAT®
provides unexcelled mold release and mirror-like cosmetic
surface finish.
More Info
$62.00 /gallon
BN Releasecoat®-PM
BORON NITRIDE RELEASECOAT®-PM provides TEFLON®-LlKE release for low draft-high drag regions of permanent moulds. The RELEASECOAT®-PM is provided as a paste concentrate to reduce shipping costs. To use, dilute 2 parts water to 1 part paint by volume. Simply air-spray a thin layer of paint in the areas needing extra release over your regularly used mould coating (which provides the necessary insulating properties). Reapply as needed. RELEASECOAT®-PM
is compatible with all commercial mould coatings and can be
sprayed onto hot or cold moulds.

$174.00 /gallon
BORON NITRIDE PASTES
BNA Paste
BNA is a non-aqueous-based
paste usable in all atmospheres and can be applied like ordinary
house paint. Yields over 95% BN after drying.
More Info
$375.00 /gallon
BN Lubricoat Paste
When thick layers are required, economical Boron Nitride Lubricoat® PASTE is offered -- ready-to-use as is, with no mixing; or, if desired, easily dilutable with water.
More Info
$179.00 /gallon
BN Ring Seal
BN RING SEAL is a superior water-based paste for sealing the
join between the transition plate and the graphite ring during
assembly of Wagstaff billet casters.
More Info
$174.00 /gallon
BNW Paste
BNW is a neutral pH, specially formulated paste that when brushed onto metal, ceramic or graphite like ordinary housepaint will produce a coating that is totally non-wetted by molten aluminum, magnesium and their drosses providing a NO-STICK surface.

COATINGS for CODING &
MARKING
For coding / marking to over 2000 F (1100 C).
Adherent to
metals and ceramics with thermal cycles. Hard, Abrasion-Resistant.
High-temperature stable. Does not glaze, melt, run, become tacky or chalk off.
Water-based, like house paint
Codemarks are water-based paints that work on metal substrates from 1650 F [white paint] to over 2000 F [black paint] and on most all ceramic substrates to over 2000 F. These coatings can be applied to all substrates by most any painting technique.
Codemark Black

LK Ink is a ready-to-use, water-based, totally inorganic white ink/coating that, just on drying, forms a water-resistant, tough and abrasion-resistant coating/marking on all substrates. The LK Ink is a thin milk-like consistency -- ideal for painting/ coding / marking / identification to over 800 C (over 1475 F) on metal or ceramic substrates. Can even be used on thin, flexible metal sheets.

ADDITIONAL COATINGS
Y
This water-based paint is a water-based suspension of 99.99% pure Yttrium Oxide, the most thermodynamically stable oxide available. Whenever metal purity is a prime consideration during melting and casting operations, yttria
can be considered the most chemically resistant material
available. Type Y usage is limited to 1500 C with
carbon in a vacuum and is not recommend for usage in air.

YK Paint
This is a low viscosity, non-aqueous-based, yttrium oxide coating. Type YK readily penetrates porous and fibrous ceramic bodies. Compared to Type Y, the Type YK coating is somewhat softer and higher purity after outgassing [with Type YK containing only 0.3% glassy-carbon phase after heating] and also outgasses at a lower temperature of only 350 C ideal for coating molds where minimum outgassing
temperatures and amounts of volatiles are desired. Type YK
is not recommended for usage in air.

Zircwash
Paintable Zirconium Oxide coating; silica free, gives high purity
non-ferrous castings, utility to 1900 C.
