ZYP Coatings, Inc. is the world's premier manufacturer of
coatings that are specifically formulated for high temperature
applications. Although a typical application may involve the
melting of Aluminum, Magnesium or Zinc, there are
many other applications that benefit from use of our coatings.
We consider ourselves to be problem-solvers / solution providers in the field
of high temperature and molten metal applications.
We formulated and copyrighted/trademarked our world famous BLUE boron nitride
coatings which provide the increased visibility needed on white ceramic
substrates.
We developed a Zinc stop-off coating that is effective as a
masking agent and successfully endures the pickling process in
galvanizing operations.
Our liquid coatings and Boron Nitride powder provide the anti-stick
release on billets, mandrels and die faces that is required for precision
extrusions.
Wagstaff tables, transition plates and graphite rings benefit
from increased life of the casting tables, elimination of dross
build-up and promotion of a more uniform, smoother flowing of aluminum
with Boron Nitride coatings.
A full complement of coatings have been developed to reduce or
eliminate oxidation on graphite or metal surfaces. Oxidation and
high temperature chemical attack can be controlled.
Graphite burning can be prevented to above 1800 F (1000 C), reducing
carbon loss and costly component replacement.
In brazing operations, our coatings effectively keep molten
filler metal from touching and brazing metal parts and from running
over into unwanted areas, while keeping holes and cut/milled areas
from filling with metal.
For heat treating, we have an effective stop-off coating used in
all nitriding, carburizing and carbonitriding atmospheres.
In powder metallurgy or vacuum sintering processes for sintering
hard-metals or rare-earth magnet alloys, our Traycoat
product line will lengthen tray life, stop chemical attack,
prevent sticking & reactions, and control corrosion, erosion or
dusting of trays. They will prevent having to use re-sintering operations
to correct warping from prior sintering.
Yttrium Oxide coatings have the highest thermodynamic stability
with a use-temperature of nearly 2000 C in most atmospheres.
Low thermal conductivity, electrical resistance of over 108
ohm-cm, transparency to microwave energy, superior resistance to
aggressive chemical attack at high temperatures and superior
thermal stability are characteristics endemic of this coating
family.
Our high-emissivity line of products can be applied to all
ceramic and metal bodies including porous and fibrous structures
with no special rigidizing required. On heating, a hard,
abrasion- and chemical-resistant coating is formed, having
excellent black body emissivity.
Many other specialty coatings have been developed to meet the
needs of high-temperature operating environments. Follow

particular application under our "General
Information" section's "FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)" or
