To properly puncture aerosol cans, two methods can be utilized.

Please note: Both methods require that the contents be completely emptied from the container. Also proper personal protective equipment must be worn during this procedure -- safety glasses and gloves.

Can Puncturing Unit

A can puncturing unit can be used to properly puncture the aerosol can. A unit may be purchased from the following supplier:

Alternative Method

First and foremost, ground the unit. Then puncture the top of the can with a nail.
